What Happens Behind a Request
Standing in the hallway staring at a new crack, most people want two answers: does it matter, and whose rules apply? Foundation Repair Oklahoma City OK began as a way to settle the general questions in plain words and to hand the specific ones to someone who can stand at the house.
Our pages stay close to home: Oklahoma City, OK first, then Yukon, OK, Mustang, OK, Newcastle, OK, Norman, OK and Midwest City, OK, each its own city with its own building office. We explain signs, ground, national costs, Oklahoma's missing state license for foundation work and the City's contractor registration. A request you send is read here and passed to one local foundation specialist. After that, every choice stays yours.
How Each Step Unfolds
- You tell us what you've seen. The address, a way to reach you, what has changed and roughly when you first spotted it.
- We read it, then pass it on. Only one local foundation specialist gets it, and we attach no price or date.
- The specialist contacts you if it can help. Usually by phone or email, to hear more and agree with you on any visit.
- The specialist sees the foundation. On a visit it may circle the outside walls, study cracks and floors and, under a raised floor, the crawl space. A written estimate comes only if it finds work worth doing.

What to Expect From the Contractor
We don't license, register, inspect, rate or vouch for the specialist, so the checks below are yours to make with any contractor.
- License and registration. Oklahoma has no state license for foundation or general contracting work. Inside Oklahoma City limits, ask whether the contractor holds the City's residential building contractor registration, and confirm with the City. In one of the five nearby cities, ask that city's office what it expects. One business name should appear on the contract and the permit.
- A written contract. The work, the price, start and finish dates, how you pay, and how many piers go where and of what type. Changes go in signed change orders.
- The permit. Ask who will pull it, and ask to see it. Inside Oklahoma City limits, the City's Development Center, (405) 297-2525, can confirm what a job needs.
- The engineer question. Is a licensed professional engineer going to review the repair plan? Ask.
- Trade work. If plumbing, wiring or mechanical work comes into it, that piece belongs to a CIB-licensed tradesperson under a separate permit. Ask who would do it.
- Offers at the door. The state's Construction Industries Board urges care with door-to-door sellers. For a financed sale signed at your home, Oklahoma may let you cancel by written notice sent by midnight of the third business day after signing; ask whether that reaches your contract. This is general information, not legal advice.
- Warranty and references. Warranty terms on paper, whether they pass to a later buyer, and a few local homeowners willing to describe their own job.
What We Do and What the Specialist Does
Our share is small. We take your request, explain what we can and pass it to one independent local foundation specialist. Every visit, look at the house, measurement, estimate, contract, permit step and repair belongs to the specialist. We do no plumbing, electrical or mechanical work and offer none, and we never price, bid, estimate, assess, inspect, schedule or oversee anything. No government office works with us or speaks for us.
